Meet your Team

Rick Wagner, MBA

Founder, Co-Owner

Rick founded Wagner Home Renewal in 2015 with the goal of establishing long-term relationships with clients for improving their homes – from the smallest handyman task to custom home renovations.

Rick has grown Wagner Home Renewal largely through word-of-mouth to become one of the largest Handyman/General Contractors serving East Dallas, including the Lakewood, Hillside, Park Cities and Highland Park neighborhoods.  Rick primarily serves as Lead Project Manager for all projects managed by the Company.

Rick’s prior experience includes more than 30+ years as a Project Manager and Engineer with Pratt & Whitney, Philip Morris, Altria, and various consulting groups.  Rick holds a B.S. in both Business Administration and Computer Science from SUNY Brockport and an MBA from the University of Hartford.  Rick paid his way through college by taking care of five professors’ homes, providing him with his initial experience in home renovations (that he has expounded upon over the years) and also planting the seed for the founding of Wagner Home Renewal.

Outside of interacting with clients, Rick enjoys fly fishing, gardening, running his German Shorthaired Pointer, Heidi, and watching Oak Island.  And when the Dallas weather is nice, you can often find him and his wife, Susan, sitting on their front porch in the evenings chatting with neighbors and enjoying time outside.

Susan Stryker

Head of Design, Co-Owner

Susan joined Wagner Home Renewal shortly after its founding in 2015, as clients were lining up for business and Rick needed Susan’s help and expertise.  Susan now primarily serves as interior designer and finish-out coordinator for all projects managed by the Company. No job at Wagner Home Renewal is complete until it has received approval of Susan’s detail-oriented, design-focused eye.

Susan’s prior experience includes more than 30+ years as an Interior Designer/Project Manager with lauckgroup, HOK, SmithGroup, and Harris Design.  Susan holds a B.S. in Interior Design from Cornell.

Outside of helping clients to design and choose finish outs for their home renovations, Susan enjoys yoga, gardening, reading, and walking in her neighborhood.  As with Rick, you can often find Susan sitting on their front porch in the evening chatting it up with passing neighbors with their dog, Heidi, at her side!

Nate Wagner, MBA

Project Manager, Co-Owner

Nathan joined Wagner Home Renewal in 2021 after careers in both the military and corporate sector. Nathan primarily serves as Project Manager and onsite manager for all projects managed by the Company.

Nathan’s prior experience includes more than 6 years serving as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army, including tours in both Germany and Afghanistan, and more than 4 years as a Vice President of Investment Banking with Piper Sandler.  Nathan holds a B.S. in Engineering and Project Management from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the University of Texas.

Outside of Wagner Home Renewal, Nathan enjoys fly fishing, hunting, gardening, and fishing for Texas Slams (catching a combo of redfish, speckled trout and flounder) on the Gulf Coast of Texas.
